Part of you thinks that your parents are never going to die.

Why is that?

Well, they've always been there, so they WILL always be there, right?

Although the scales have tipped in many ways, when you're with them, you're still the child.

They're figuratively bigger, wiser, still more grown up than you.

So how could they not be there?

It's unfathomable to imagine.

It's painful to imagine.

So, we don't imagine.

We snaffle the thought up.

Burrow down.

And bury it.

And so, we feel protected from the tricky thought.

For a time...

Until life happens,

Or rather death happens.

And we don't feel ready.

Although I'd say we're never ready.

And there's things we have left unsaid, unlived, unexplored with them.

Whilst there will always be something, one thing you can do today, right now, is start to ask them questions.

Not if you should give your kid Calpol, or if they can come visit next weekend, but where they met your other parent, what their earliest memory was, where is their happy place...

The Stories That Matter.

And press record.

Because one day, you'll crave to have those answers.

Crave their voice. The gravel. Their shy laugh. The pitch.

In time, you'll be able to accept their absence, but more than ever you'll still feel their presence.

We’ll say our family our the most important thing in our lives.

Here is an experience that honours that...

and connects you and your loved ones in the here-and-now.
